About Tom Rickard Photography
My Camera has been traveling with me on my adventures to capture the peaceful beachscapes, crashing waves, majestic lighthouses, jaw-dropping sunsets and natural beauty found on the East End of Long Island. It’s traveled with me from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to the Caribbean to Paris, London and Ireland and even gone air-born on the wings of a kite to capture images from the sky.
When you buy one of my photographs you can be assured that each image is printed on the absolute highest quality printers in the industry, the F-series Epson printers provide the sharpest and widest gamut prints for the dye sublimation industry.
Our Metal Print sizes range from 8 x 10 to 48 x 96.
World-wide shipments and local deliveries are available, as is custom placement in your home. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed. Commissioned work is available.
Over the years of doing Photography, my work has been published in Magazines, Newspapers and even on the Local TV News12 Channel. I have won numerous awards for my craftsmanship as well as received countless recommendations.

Kite Aerial Photography is attaching a camera to a kite to get some of the most amazing aerial shots.
For this I used a Foil 3.0 from HQ Kites, 550 pound line from Flying Smiles Kite Shop and a Sony Alpha Series camera. I handmade the camera rig, equipped it with an RC remote to control the direction and tilt of the camera.
Once I have let out the desired amount of line to get the height I want to photograph the subject, then it’s just a matter of getting it in the right frame and clicking away.
KAP - Kite Aerial Photography Unlike a drone that is mostly computer driven, With KAP you have to relay on the wind direction and wind speed to get the best Aerial Shots. This is a HQ 8.0 Foil Kite, with a Sony A6000 camera attached. I was able to got some great shots of Ponquogue Pavillion in Hampton Bays NY.
Here is a n 8 foot Roc (Traditionally used as a Japanese Fighting Kite) these kites can lift in a light breeze and can carry a good amount of weight. The spars can also be adjusted depending on the wind conditions.
